  4. 1850’s is spot on. This is what happens when greed overrides preservation of the character of a neighborhood. The 2005 rezone of north Brooklyn’s waterfront promised a lot of things, affordable and low income housing among them. Have yet to see it. Probably never will— unless it is tacked onto a 40+ story high-rise.
