From The Gullibility Files: Student Habitats
As a general rule I eschew posting ridiculous apartment advertisements. My reasoning for this practice is very simple: an entire blog could be premised on the subject and, well, New York Shitty is not that blog. However, once in a blue moon I will find something so ludicrous even I have to give pause. Which brings me to Student Habitats on Metropolitan Avenue (as seen in the above photograph) and the following advertisement gracing their storefront:
When someone says “East Williamsburg” I usually think of the Graham Avenue stop of the L. If pushed I’ll even grudgingly concede the Grand Street, Montrose Avenue and Morgan Avenue stops as being located in “East Williamsburg”. But Stanhope Street and Wyckoff Avenue?!?
That’s kind of pushing the envelope if you know what I mean.

some listings on craigslist have east williamsburg extending into queens. i wish craigslist would just make people mark a map and determine the neighborhood with some kind of programming code. because realtors can’t seem to not lie all the time about everything.

In response to the above statement, my staff and I are appalled at the scrutiny given to a commercial storefront, paper advertisement that was TAPED in the window below our LEASED 24″ x 60” LOGO SPACE LOCATED IN THE UPPER TIER OF THE WINDOW LOCATED AT 533 METROPOLITAN AVENUE IN BROOKLYN, NY. WHERE OUR COMPANY IS LOCATED IN THE DOWNSTAIRS SUITE AND HAS SERVED PA AND NYC SINCE 2001. WE ARE SHOCKED AT THIS POSTING BECAUSE IT WAS NOT OUR APARTMENT LISTING. WE PROVIDE A QUALITY SERVICE TO OUR STUDENT’S 10 YEARS POST GRADUATION WITH PRECISE PROPERTY INFORMATION AND PICTURES PROVIDED BY OUR IN HOUSE PHOTOGRAPHERS AND LISTING TEAM. THE HARD WORKING TEAM AT STUDENTHABITATS.COM WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE A HIGH-END, HONEST AND QUALITY SERVICE TO THE STUDENT’S OF NYC.
