TOMORROW: Saying Goodbye To Casa Mon Amour

As some of you might have noticed Casa Mon Amour has been shuttered since January 2nd. After a number of bureaucratic hurdles and tough financial times (of which anyone operating a business in Greenpoint can attest) Beatrice has decided to call it quits. Those of you who had the pleasure of knowing Beatrice (as I have) and wish to thank her for the laughter, good times and (what is by all accounts) the best sangria ever to grace the Garden Spot should swing by tomorrow, January 6th, and tender your kindest regards.

Goodbye, Beatrice. You will be missed!

    2. Oh no! I only went there once, the time I met up with you and Bitchcakes at Fred Flare, and was planning on going back in the next couple of weeks. What terrible news. I wish Beatrice all the best in her future endeavors.

    3. huge bummer! everything i ever had there was really good. i walk by it every evening and it’s always completely dead, but their food was really good. hmmm.. i wonder how river barrel will make up for its absence. anyone go there yet?

    4. oh damn! i never got to try her French cuisine. the ceviche and sangria were wonderful when Casa Mon Amour was Spanish-inspired.

    i tried River Barrel on New Year’s Day. bit of a rough start because they had just opened but definitely has potential. good food ideas, though not a Casa Mon Amour by any means. it looks like a place to go for a drink as well as drinks/dinner. am going to try it again in a few weeks when they’ve had a chance to get on their feet.

    any idea what Beatrice will do next?

    5. i’ m very sorry to hear this. do you by any chance have a contact number/info for beatrice. i was good fiends with her and i usually go away for about 1 mo. at the end of the year. will she be opening another place? i missed all of this and was unable to say good bye. please let me know.
