Great Moments in Real Estate Advertising: East Williamsburg
This makes me wonder exactly who— or I suppose I should say WHAT— has been looking for a room to rent on Stagg Street recently. Extraterrestrials? Cyborgs? Cats and dogs who have tossed convention by the wayside and want to live together?

I’m guessing it is cats and dogs he doesn’t want. And probably ferrets. I’m going to go farther and guess that a recent tenant brought in a pet hyena and tried to argue that the lease only said “no cats or dogs.” Even though a hyena is a dog.
I can only hope it was something a tad more exotic:

Do you think they mean no brokers? It’s the only thing I can think of. Aside from your ideas, of course.
it means what it says, you silly people. people only. no furniture, no tv, no radio, no tv on the radio, no pots and pans to rattle and clank, nothing.
in fact, i believe i heard, some months ago, that a pot and a pan tried to rent the room. you can see why the landlord is piqued.
Man vs Beast? perhaps the landlords had some unfortunate experiences in the past and are upping the requirements.
People. Who need people. Are the luckiest people in the world.
Or perhaps try, “It’s people! Soylent Green is made from PEOPLE!!!!!”
Tell me what you're thinking...
