As some of you might have read on Cityroom, the unthinkable has indeed happened: Patricia Lancaster has resigned from the Department of Buildings!

Knowing that our fine city will need someone to fill this position STAT, Hard Hat Hannah has graciously offered to shoulder this onerous responsibility! Hard Hat Hannah for Buildings Commissioner!

Hannah’s only a puppet to be certain— but even a piece of cloth with a fist shoved up its ass would be hard-pressed to fail as miserably as the human who preceded her.

I’d vote Hannah in a jiffy! Do you think she has recovered sufficiently from her past illness to tackle the job? I’m sure with competent staff (meaning you of course) she’ll do a great job.

In Bloomberg’s world, that better be the top line on your resume if you expect to work for him. Like all autocrats, he’s not exactly looking for free spirits in his “bullpen.”

I know, Miss H., but my tolerance for these hypocritical assclowns is less than zero these days.

Lancaster will, naturally, be rewarded for her incompetence with some cush corporate gig; this, on the same day a U.S. Appeals Court ruled Christie Whitman cannot be sued for lying to workers and residents near Ground Zero for giving the all-clear regarding air quality after 9/11.

These people preach personal responsibility to the great unwashed and yet always escape any accounting for their own malfeasance. Can’t wait to see which bootlicker Bloomberg installs next in the DOB.

While at her post as Commissioner, Lancaster served the mayor well with all the facts and statistics he needed to show how well he was doing as mayor. The simple fact is that the real puppet has left the job the one who only cared about how many complaints were logged into 311 by rats, oh I mean whistle blowers or how many violations or stop work orders were issued on construction sites and not about what they are really supposed to care about which was BUILDING.
