Spotted On South 4 Street: Tires
Since I know a number of incredibly inventive and creative folks read this site, I feel compelled to mention that on South 4 Street between Wythe Avenue and Kent Avenue someone has seen fit to dispose of a number of tires. If I had to given an estimate, I’d hazard to guess there are at least twenty of them. Probably more. They have some rather nifty patterns on the treads and crying out to be re-purposed in some manner. Why not pick a few and get your creativity on north Brooklynites?

New York Shitty Slide Show Du Jour: Wythe Avenue & North 13 Street, Revisited
As I noted last week, the Cereal Killers mural (as seen above) is no longer with us. Since today’s weather was (by recent standards) downright chilly I decided to swing by and see how things were progressing. Follows is a slideshow of (what I presume to be) the finished product. Enjoy!

Spotted At North 13 Street: Change
A fellow named Jay writes:
Hello stranger! I came back to bk for the weekend and spent most of today walking around w’burg – and melting like a popsicle. I noticed some guys putting up a new mural around the corner from cereal killers on n 13. Impressive stuff. Will go back tomorrow to see their progress.
Naturally I had to see this for myself so yesterday I swung by. Although it is still very much a work in progress here are a few highlights. Enjoy!
NOTE: the lattermost work is on the former site of the much-beloved Cereal Killers mural.
I would be disingenuous if I didn’t say my heart sank a little bit when I discovered it was gone. However, the new piece looks promising!
