New York Shitty Photos Du Jour: From Metropolitan Avenue With Love

In honor of Valentine’s Day I am going to share a curiosity I recently discovered during my peregrinations.

Someone has seen fit to place hearts on the L Train icons on the subway entrances along Metropolitan Avenue.

Where is love for our very own Crosstown Local, you ask? Well, it took some persistence— but I think I found it.

Anyone care to take a stab at deciphering this?

P.S.: This post is dedicated to our Community Board’s very own Public Safety chair. Today is his birthday. Sto Lat!

Artineh Havan, the very nice lady who runs the Grand Street Business Improvement District writes:

Dear Miss Heather,

I hope that you are doing well on this snowy day. We are very excited about our first ever Grand Street Restaurant Week starting this Monday, February 17th through Sunday, February 23rd. 14 of our great restaurants will offer $25 three-course dinner specials, and half of them will offer $10 two-course lunches. We would love it if you could share this with your readers.

I have attached our electronic postcard and below please find a link to menus and additional information: http://grandstbklyn.com/2014/02/02/grand-street-restaurant-week-february-17-23/

Also, our Cupids will give out delicious and locally made (Long Island) chocolate on Grand Street starting at 4:30 tomorrow, Friday, February 14th for Valentine’s Day.  Hope you can make it out or stop by if you’re in the neighborhood…

Duly and gladly passed along! (I love L-O-V-E Los Primos!)

Really, we need a memo about this! Who are these parents?

Indeed. Then again if residents of the Viridian had to be advised not to let their dogs to crap in the indoor garden (and just this has come to pass) is this really surprising? No. It is not. Still it is as good as a reason as any to roll this out…

Oscar_the_Grouch_2It would appear that someone found the faux grass fencing gracing “Williamsburg Park” to resemble a beloved Sesame Street character. Well played, anonymous hooligan!
