NEXT WEEK: Heat Season Workshop

Since I have received a number of complaints from folks lacking proper heat I feel compelled to pass this item along. Monday, November 16, at 7:00 p.m. NAG (Neighbors Allied For Good Growth) will be conducting a Heat Season Workshop. The purpose of this gathering (lest it is not obvious) is to raise awareness of this city’s heating regulations and outline the rights and avenues of recourse tenants have when dealing with non-compliant landlords. Those of you are tired of being cold and want to know what you can do about it should make it a point to attend.

Found on Devoe Street: Cat
Filed under: 11211, Crazy Cat Lady, East Williamsburg, East Williamsburg Brooklyn, Williamsburg, Williamsburg Brooklyn
This dignified male tabby (note the ascot) was found Tuesday on Devoe Street between Judge and Olive Street. His good Samaritan, Sarah, estimates his age to be about one year and reports:
He does not seem as though he has been out too long, probably less than a week. He was hungry, scared and tired.
If this is your cat please contact Sarah at essdotweather (at) yahoo (dot) com.
Thanks!

New York Shitty Day Ender: Guess Who?

Winning by 5 percentage points does not a mandate make, Mike. If my memory serves me correctly, you lost the borough of Kings— which is where the above sullen missive (and numerous others) can be found. Appropriately enough, it is on a rotting fence gracing a derelict construction site slated to be a high rise: Bloomblight.
May your four years as a lame duck (and a highly unpopular one at that) be interesting ones. I hope it was worth it. I look forward to documenting them. Your purported “achievements” are a gold crown in a mouthful of decaying teeth. I should know; I live in one of the abscesses.
