Although I have featured this item before I am doing so again with this great shot by njeyn. Why you ask? Very simple: as luck (or would that be destiny) would have it I recently met the mastermind behind this polemic— and today yours truly had lunch with him! Nice guy.

LAST GASP: Bring To Light

September 22, 2010 ·
Filed under: 11222, Greenpoint, Greenpoint Brooklyn, Greenpoint Magic

This item comes courtesy of Gregor Nemitz-Ziadie, the mastermind behind Williamsburg Walks. He writes:

I hope you are doing well. I just wanted to mention to you that Williamsburg Walks’ genius partners – DoTank:Brooklyn – are adapting the famous concept of “Nuit Blanche” – which begun in 1997 in Paris, Berlin and St. Petersburg –  to the neighborhood. On October 2, from sunset to dawn, the streets of Greenpoint will host Bring to Light an all-night public art festival. The first ever “Nuit blanche” in NYC. Link to the press release

Best,

Grégor

This sounds like serious fun. Check it out!
