Spotted On Oak Street: Magic Supplies
If there is one thing that warms yours truly’s heart it is a sight such as this (which hails from Oak Street): our neighborhood’s youth getting hands-on experience with our country’s free enterprise system. I don’t know if there is much of a market for “magic supplies” (I can only hope there is), but our intrepid young entrepreneur, Natalia has a diverse array of business endeavors. I learned this when I rounded the corner to Lorimer Street.
In closing, I feel compelled to point out that the youngster(s) behind all the above solicitations also has a side business in “hampster moving”. Methinks we may very well have just seen the handiwork of the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs folks. Who needs an iPad when you can have magic— and a kitten?

Found this on Oak Street today and thought I’d share. Looks like the kids of the garden spot of the universe are joining the crusade against dog shit.
Indeed!

Greenpoint Business Watch: A Blind Item
This afternoon as I was walking down Franklin Street I bumped into a friend of mine. As it would happen this person is a local business owner and in this capacity hears a lot of neighborhood buzz. For starters, he/she told me a boutique is slated to open on Oak Street (who knew?). But what I found intriguing was the following, which constitutes today’s blind item:
What vacated storefront on Franklin Street is also slated to become a boutique?

New York Shitty Day Ender: Post Mardi Gras Edition
Although I am certain today’s rain and sleet have since rendered this very special chap (which hails from Oak Street) unrecognizable, here he is for posterity. New York Shitty analysis: Love it!
