TODAY: Cats & Cakes

Hi Miss Heather,
First of all, thank you so much for posting about last week’s event! We had a good turn out, but we still have lots of adorable cats and kittens waiting to find homes. This Saturday we are having another bigger event with all our adoptable kitties and a bake sale. The event will be at 95 North 6th Street in Williamsburg from 2-6pm.
If you don’t mind posting about another cat related event, we’d really appreciate your help, and it would be wonderful if you could stop by!
Duly posted! As to whether or not I can swing by, who’s to say? I have a very busy weekend ahead of me!

New York Shitty Day Ender: Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra
If some of the pictures in this video look familiar to you, dear readers, here’s why: yours truly took them! No worries. The fols of the Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra asked (and nicely at that) and I gave them permission. In any case, if you liked what you just heard you will be interested to know the that starting August 4 the Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra will be playing the first and third Wednesday of every month at the Lovin’ Cup. You can get the full rundown by checking out their MySpace page!

Williamsburg Photo Du Jour: Mr. Toll
Naturally when I got home I had to look up the web site featured on this “Metrocard”. I quickly discovered I have seen a number of this person’s work before. I can’t honestly say I care much for the poetry (for the simple reason that I am not into poetry) but I really liked the polymer sculptures. Moving forward I’m going to keep an eye out for them!
