Having worked retail I can speak from personal experience that missives such as the above-depicted are not simply placed for the customer’s edification and/or education. Rather, they are issued as the result of an incident. If the use of all caps and red typeface is any indication, I’d say there is a damned story behind this one. (pun completely intended)

Given that Mrs. Kim’s was shut down recently as well it makes me wonder if the Health Department is specifically targeting north Brooklyn eateries nowadays. In any case, if you want to see something really scary check out Sea’s recent inspection by the Department of Health. They got a whopping 53 points* for harboring creatures which quite frankly I didn’t know existed. Until today, that is. Whoa.
