New York Shitty Day Ender: The Fun Is Over
Rounding out today’s posts (because I am beat after attending this evening’s 94th Precinct Community Council Meeting*) I leave you with this image from the New York Shitty photo pool taken by kim in nyc. Nice find!

*All things considered it was pretty mellow— but the conversation I had (if you can call such a thing that) with a rather angry woman (whose breath, ironically enough, smelled like a distillery) about liquor licenses wore me out. You can anticipate a full rundown (along with video footage) tomorrow!

They looked extremely hot, but were making lots of money, so kept at it.

Something Neat: New York City Street Scene
The junk shop is a never-ending journey of discovery for yours truly. It has certainly exposed me to a vast spectrum of humanity— literally and figuratively speaking— to which I had previously been unaware. For this reason I no longer feel compelled to travel for the simple reason I do not need to: pretty much anyone from everywhere imaginable finds their way to my doorstep at one time or another. I enjoy speaking to these people and learning about the world(s) from which they hail. I am— despite my protestations to the contrary— a “people person”.
I am also an arm chair traveler. Geography is not the only subject of my sojourns. The junk shop (or, more accurately: its photo bins) have enabled me to travel back in time. Which brings me to the photograph* gracing this post. My little voice told me I had seen this building before. After a very quick Google search I learned my little voice was correct! For the reveal click here. NOTE: be sure to check out the comments as they will lead you to a blog written by someone who lived in this “mystery” building!

Great Moments In Advertising: Herbal Clean
Polishing off my selections from East Harlem I present you with this item which was the source of considerable debate between yours truly and the Mister. He said he thought it was advertising a product to help you beat urinalysis. I countered that it was shilling a laxative. Or at least that’s what I hope it is for. A cursory search of Herbal Clean’s web site does nothing to clear up this mystery. However, Herbal Clean offers an array of interesting products— including Emu Oil!
