The Word On The Street, Part I: Manhattan Avenue

Here’s to triple digit temperatures tomorrow, New York Shittites!
Coming to 917 Manhattan Avenue: More Garden
First the Graham Electronics sign came down (revealing lovely brickwork, as seen above), then I was tipped of and today, lo, I spied a building permit confirming it: the Garden, a much-beloved Greenpoint institution is expanding into 917 Manhattan Avenue.
Those of you who are familiar with how congested this establishment can get (as I do) will undoubtedly agree this is a wonderful development— as is the addition of customer bathrooms. Really. I am not kidding!
Anyhoo, those of you who have the time/ability, do give the surviving cast iron work and masonry a look. It’s a nice little peek of the past.

Spotted On Manhattan Avenue: Found
This is a long shot, but here it is anyway. If anyone reading this misplaced a bag of Gap clothing on the bus (whether or not it was the B62 or B43 is not indicated) a good Samaritan has it! You can get it back by calling the above-listed telephone number.

New York Shitty analysis: to my knowledge not too many registered voters in the 50th Assembly District— be they Democrats or otherwise— patronize gumball machines. I fact I can only think of one: yours truly. And let’s just say this fellow will not be getting my vote.
