This was brought to my attention by a fellow cat lover and all-around nice lady Eva. If you have seen Pencil (who calls Lorimer Street and Grand Street her home) please contact her people at the above-listed telephone numbers. Thanks!

Every time I see a flyer with a beloved fur kid’s face on it my heart sinks. When I spied the winsome mug of Murphy (AKA: “Mr. Mittens”) out of the corner of my eye today was no exception. Nonetheless, I went in for a closer look. I’m glad I did!
Given the number of individuals thanked on this missive— which includes the staff Woodhull Medical Center— I imagine the tale (or would that be tail?) of the missing Mr. Mittens was an interesting one. Only he, his “people” and the above-listed individuals know for certain. Rather, I am simply satisfied it had a happy ending.

1. There were not any when I took the above shot yesterday at ~3:30 p.m. As of 2:00 p.m. today I was told these garbage cans were still not in place.
2. Yes, I can personally attest there were Parks Officers working the line— which stretched around the corner into Bayard Street.

From The New York Shitty Inbox, Part III: Wanted For Questioning
This comes from the 94th Precinct via an anonymous tipster:
The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the
following(above — Ed. Note) individual wanted for a robbery which took place on June 9, 2012 at approx 0130 hours inside of the Lorimer Street “L” train in the confines of the 94 Pct. The suspect approached a F/25 grabbed her by the throat and removed her pocketbook.
Anyone who witnessed or has information about this crime should contact the 94th Precinct at (718) 383 – 3879 or send Captain Komar (who is acting “Chief” while D.I. Hurson is on vacation) an email at STEFAN.KOMAR (at) NYPD (dot) ORG
Thanks!
P.S.: While I am on the subject of the 94th Precinct, I have created a flyer for this adorable dog who is currently in their (air-conditioned) custody.
