Spotted On Green Street: Skateboards & Seasoning
Some of you may recall last month the tailor shop located at 173 Green Street relocated across Manhattan Avenue and into a questionably legal situation. Well, Sasteria San Miguel’s space didn’t remain vacant for long.
I present to you, TINC, (as is in: There Is No Cool) a “street wear/vintage variety/skateboard shop. While hardly the skateboarding type (I have grown to accept that I should leave anything with wheels to the experts), I took a peek inside. Here’s what I found!
Hats and Brooklynalia.
Skateboards.
Shirts and shoes.
Another skateboard and this really nifty purse. But the item of foremost interest to yours truly was this:
Hot sauce— made by the store owner’s mom*, no less! Naturally I purchased a bottle and am quite eager to try it. Perhaps a review of this product will be forthcoming in the future? Only time will tell. In the meantime you can check out TINC in cyberspace by clicking here.

*Who is a very nice lady. I remember her as being one of the nicer customers the junk shop has had of late. What’s more, I think it is cute that she helped her son, Seth, hang up the sign which graces this storefront!

TOMORROW: Third Thursdays
This item comes courtesy of the store’s proprietor, Chris “Smitty” Smith. He writes:
Introducing our Third Thursday salon at the G-Spot Pop Shop.
We’ll be showing a great selection of local artists and designers with a lot of affordable cool stuff for $25 or less!
and we’ll be serving up some liquid libations to loosen your libidos (and open your wallets ;>) courtesy of Brouwerij Lane.
And be sure to bring your creativity! we’re gonna cover one of the walls in paper and work on a collaborative mural.
We’re hoping to make this a regular monthly art event in Greenpoint. Let us know if you want to get involved.
The Yes Gallery on India st is also having an opening that night, so be sure to stop by there as well.
