Now For Sale at Kill Devil Hill: Greenpoint Tee Shirts & More
When I spied these wares at Go Green Greenpoint yesterday afternoon I simply had to share the good news here. Not only is the asking price of $20 for these tees easy on the wallet, but the nautical theme is rather charming. I brought up the matter creating a tank top or some other more “fitted” item for the ladies with the woman manning this table. She told me they were working on such an item. I can hardly wait!

From The New York Shitty Inbox: Pedestrian Hit?
This item comes from a lady named Laura. She writes:
hey heather,
i was picking up some food yesterday and passed a very unfortunate scene, a young woman was lying in the road with a crowd gathered around her, pretty unresponsive, wasn’t moving. the fdny loaded her into an ambulance, but there didn’t seem to be a big rush. i have no idea who she is but i feel awful and haven’t heard anything about her. have you heard any news? i hope she is okay. please let me know if you hear of anything. it was franklin st & milton ave approx. 6-630pm on 4/20/11.
I have not heard anything but I suspect I write for everyone reading this that I hope this woman makes a full recovery. Does anyone out there know what happened? If so please share via comments or shoot me an email at missheather (at) thatgreenpointblog (dot) com. Thanks!

Spotted At The American Playground: A Good Friday Miracle!
Yes folks, it would appear the owner of 49 Noble Street— or perhaps the Department of Buildings— has finally commenced re-mediating their property so we can once again have our playground back! For those of you who have been keeping count it took no less than four months and three days for this auspicious event to come to pass. Hallelujah!

Tonight’s Town Hall meeting was contentious to say the very least.* So much so yours truly saw fit to make a stop on the way home for some medicinal spirits. Needless to say I was delighted to find these nice, soothing images in my inbox when I arrived home. Great job, guys!
