It would appear a dumpster right here in the Garden Spot (as captured by diana gee) has gotten “the treatment”.

If this find (which hails from our waterfront at Bushwick Inlet) would appear that our fair state is finding some pretty innovative ways to generate revenue. One can only imagine if/when strollers (AKA: “sidewalk cars”) will be next.

From The New York Shitty Inbox: A Bar Cometh To 200 Franklin?
This item comes courtesy of a chap named Charles. He writes:
Saw this on my everyblock – looks like that (Dandelion-owned?) wine bar may come true! But, it certainly looks like it’s at 200 Franklin, under that weird wedding cake douchebox, Not at Van Gogh’s Radio as had been speculated.
Very interesting indeed! While I know that someone (not Lily) has voiced interest in operating an eating and drinking establishment at Van Gogh’s old space (and to this end has taken measures to file an application for a liquor license) I did not know she had something like this up her sleeve! I will have to ask her about this the next time I see her. In the meantime if anyone has the 411 on “Wyne A But” please leave a comment or shoot me an email at: missheather (at) thatgreenpointblog (dot) com. Thanks!

Found In McCarren Park…
Filed under: 11211, 11222, Greenpoint, Greenpoint Brooklyn, Greenpoint Magic, Williamsburg, Williamsburg Brooklyn
This handsome (and very friendly) chap was found on May 6 near the McCarren Dog Run. “Rojo” (who sports a solitary pink spot on his nose) as he has been named by his current foster home (that being Dog Habitat) is an unneutered 12 -18 month old pit bull mix. While found wearing a collar it sported no tags. It has also been ascertained he has not been micro-chipped. If anyone reading this knows of this pup’s rightful owner (or wishes to provide him the loving permanent home he deserves) please contact the folks at Dog Habitat:

From The New York Shitty Inbox: Silk Road Cycles Speaks!
This afternoon I was pleased as punch to get a missive from the man behind the missive at left! Brandon writes:
Hey Heather,
I have been reading you blog for some time now and today saw that you had a picture of my “Bike Shop Coming Soon, 76 Franklin St.” sign. Thanks for posting that. I will be opening the week of the 16th. We are just waiting for a double door to be installed in the front of the building. We will be specializing in commuting, adventure cycling, touring and will have some other interesting bits and bikes. We will have a full line of parts and bicycles and a complete service area. Every type of cyclist will be welcome. Most importantly, my manager and I want to create a shop where the customer feels comfortable to come in and ask any question. This will be a judgment free shop! Please stop by anytime.
So there have you!
