Another found dog. He was found on Greenpoint Ave. tonight. He’s at Dog Habitat.

Anyone who has information as to whom this fella belongs should contact Dog Habitat via email at: rescue@doghabitat.org. Thanks!

UPDATE, 9:16 p.m.: Here’s this cutie after (quite) a bit of deforestation!

A lass named Lori writes:

Heather,

I was walking down Richardson Street at 9:30am and spotted this little dog (see attached) between N.Henry and Humboldt. I’m in this area at the same time daily and have never seen this dog before. I have a feeling he might belong to someone as he seemed very friendly and followed me for a little bit (maybe looking for help). He has no collar but his coat looks like it had been shaved recently. He also has a limp, but looks like it’s from an old injury as he didn’t seem like he was in pain. It would be great if you can share on your blog. Hopefully someone will recognize the dog as belonging to someone in the area. If not, maybe he can be rescued. He seems like a really sweet little guy.
Thanks for your help!

Anyone who knows to whom this pup belongs can contact Lori via email at: lehoffman(at)gmail(dot)com

Thanks!

Last Gasp: Found In North Brooklyn

This lovely lass. My friend at Brooklyn Imbecile writes:

eric, the guy who walks our dog at lunchtime, found an abandoned puppy at mcgolrick park this morning around 8am, no collar, no microchip.

here’s his blog.

Here are the deets from Dog-e-Dog:

This little girl was found (no collar, no microchip) on Richardson & N. Henry this morning. She seems to be a shepherd/mastiff mix about 3 months old. She is not spayed, but very, very sweet.
If you know whose dog this is or are thinking about adopting, please contact me or Greenpoint Vet (347-529-4345 or gpointvet@gmail.com). Please share this post so we can get her back home.

Done!

I have received word this sweet lass has a temporary place to hang her proverbial hat. (Thanks Julia!)

Let’s find her permanent one!

Found In McCarren Park…

This handsome (and very friendly) chap was found on May 6 near the McCarren Dog Run. “Rojo” (who sports a solitary pink spot on his nose) as he has been named by his current foster home (that being Dog Habitat) is an unneutered 12 -18 month old pit bull mix. While found wearing a collar it sported no tags. It has also been ascertained he has not been micro-chipped. If anyone reading this knows of this pup’s rightful owner (or wishes to provide him the loving permanent home he deserves) please contact the folks at Dog Habitat:

this lass. The details I have currently are scant, but here’s what I have are courtesy of our good Samaritan, Miss Mousey Brown:

Can you help me find shelter for a dog  found in a Brooklyn dog run. She’s an adult female. Very sweet dog and particularly fond of females, I think. I don’t know what to do with her, because our zoo is to capacity…

I have forwarded this missive to a few folks who might be able to lend a hand. In the meantime if anyone reading this knows to whom this lady belongs or wishes to provide her a foster home please shoot me an email to mcdogrun@gmail.com. Thanks!

UPDATE April 21: Brad Seaman of Greenpoint Veterinary Hospital writes;

Hey – she’s coming in tomorrow.  We’ll be taking a good picture of her, making a flyer, putting it up, and sending it around.
