TOMORROW: Mister Market

This item has been brought to my attention by that dynamic duo, Tommy and Roy, better known as the Alter Boys. Tomorrow they, along with a number of other notable north Brooklyn businesses (like Kill Devil Hill!) will be selling their wares at the Mister Market. The whole shebang kicks off at noon. Why not swing by and see what they’re got cooking?

Brooklyn, New York 11211
You can get more information about this event by checking out Mister Market’s web site.
In closing (and on a shameless self-promoting note) I’d like to remind everyone that the “closing reception” for my photography show at Creek & Cave is tomorrow starting at 3:30 p.m. You can get the full 411 by clicking here.

P.S.: Lest any of you are wondering why I put “closing reception” in quotation marks it is because I have gotten word that my show has been extended! And somehow “middling reception” does not strike me as being very snappy.
THIS WEEKEND: My Closing Reception & More
All things must come to an end. My show of photography at Creek & Cave will soon be coming down— but before it does a closing reception will be held this upcoming Sunday, June 13, from 3:30- 5:30 p.m.! Not only will tasty fare be in the offering, but it is scheduled to coincide with Queens Art Express: an open studio/gallery/performance event which runs from Long Island City all the way to Flushing! You can learn what Queens Art Express has scheduled checking out their calendar.
Why not spend this upcoming weekend by checking out the best this borough has to offer? I’d love to see you too!

A New York Shitty PSA: My Show At Creek & Cave
Last night, despite having a rather nasty (and I mean nasty) head cold, my show is up at Creek & Cave! I would like to take a moment to thank the Mister and Rose Sol, the curator for this space, for making this happen— and to make the following announcement: there will not be an opening reception on May 2 as I have previously indicated.
Long story made short, there was a scheduling conflict with a performance they will be having that evening so I decided to have a closing reception instead. When the date for this is set (as of the writing of this post it looks like it will be in June) I will announce it here. In the meantime if you have the time and/or inclination, swing by and check it out!

Closing Reception: t.b.a.

Now if you don’t mind I am going back to getting some much needed rest.

P.S.: Since there is room for one more piece (making a total of seven 16″ x 20″ images and three 30″ x 40″ images) I will select something and add it next week!
A New York Shitty PSA: My Photography Show At Creek & Cave
A lot of people have been asking me about when this was scheduled to open. Until yesterday I didn’t have an answer— but now I do! The opening reception for my show will come to pass May 2 (a Sunday) from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. What you can expect: eight or nine images— three of which will be quite large in format (which ought to be pretty neat) and, as of the writing of this post, the content seems to be decidedly non-Greenpoint/Williamsburg. This may very well change— but who knows? I certainly don’t. When it comes to selecting/assembling images I am very unpredictable!
In any case I have it on good intelligence that the peeps at Creek & Cave traditionally serve food at these events. Yummy. Their margaritas are nothing to sniff at either!
