When I saw this lovely lass this afternoon I simply had to make her acquaintance. Her name is Kobe and per her person she has taken it upon herself to carry her own groceries home. Hey, it saves a bag!

An anonymous tipster writes:
50% off everything at the Salvation Army on Bedford & North 7. They are selling everything before they close for renovations! Yes, the Sally’s is getting a facelift. They are gonna reopen in 2013. It will be 3 floors with an elevator taking people from the ground floor up to the long unused second floor and the unknown basement. The employees will be transferred to other stores so no one is losing their jobs which is good to know…

When I spied this item on a passerby while waiting (and waiting) for the B62 bus this afternoon I did a double-take. I have seen a lot of unusual things during my peregrinations in north Brooklyn— but R2D2 as the Virgin of Guadalupe? Well, this was a first. Once I collected my thoughts I asked the gentleman whose body this masterpiece graces as to what his motivations were. His answer was as follows:
I decided I didn’t have any tattoos that were nerdy enough.
Mission accomplished.
