Great Moments in Advertising Placement: Astoria Edition
My not-so-inner nerd/freak was jumping for joy upon making this discovery. So much so I had to point out my find to the Mister:
What we are seeing here are two ways one can get curly. You can use the product advertised on that billboard or you can simply have sex in Athena’s temple.*
*Special thanks/props go out to a fellow (owner?) at the Greenpoint Toy Center for making me aware of this. NOTE: he did so because I was purchasing a Medusa figurine which now stands watch atop my monitor. Thanks!

Spotted On 31st Street: Binti
Filed under: 11105, Astoria, Astoria Queens, Criminal Activity, Stuff The Makes Heather Sad
This is eerily reminiscent of a flyer I spied on Manhattan Avenue not terribly long ago. As to whether this is a new trend (burglarizing apartments and puppies) is anyone’s guess— either way it is not cool. If anyone has seen Binti or knows of her whereabouts please contact her people at the above-listed telephone number. Thanks!

This magnificent beast (who I was told— and totally believe— weighs 20 pounds) holds court at Jolsons Fine Wines.

The primary might be over, but the mysteries and vestiges remain. Like these posters on Broadway in Astoria, Queens the Mister and I spied this weekend, for example. Why are they here?
Anyone?
