The Word On The Street, Part IV: Make Noise
Filed under: 11232, Crosstown Local, Sunset Park, Sunset Park Brooklyn, The Word On The Street
As captured today on 8th Avenue on Sunset Park. On my subway ride home from today’s sojourn I overheard anĀ interestingĀ conversation. It was between a mother and her 20-something daughter. The former said:
Aren’t you happy to get in trouble? What kind of world would this be if we did not have people to confront and challenge us?
The woman has a point. All you noise makers out there, this post is for you!
New York Shitty Day Starter: Roommate Wanted
Last night Roommates Wanted NYC’s first roommate mixer came to pass at the DuckDuck Bar in East Willie. I did not attend. I had other plans and have no need for a roommate anyway. Regardless, I would love to hear from anyone who went to this event. As always tips are always welcome at New York Shitty and your identity will be kept confidential if you so desire.
The previous having been written— and while I am titularly on the subject of roommates— I found a most intriguing solicitation for a roommate/apartment share Eighth Avenue across the street from The Happy Store in Chelsea yesterday.*
Simply knowing there is an establishment in our fair city called The Happy Store makes me, well, happy! Knowing there is a “young” 50 year old “Irish American” who cooks and is “open minded” is pure gravy. I like this guy.
