Coming To Bedford Stuyvesant: Williamsburg Winery
During my peregrinations today I stopped by this store in the hope of getting a much needed snack. But alas it was not to be: a winery cometh to Bedford Stuyvesant and its name is Williamsburg. Given the current trend I prognosticate Clinton Hill will qualify as Williamsburg in 2014.

While I and my walking companion du jour, a really amazing man named Dennis*, took in these missives a number of passerby and even motorists paused to take note. As you can see this fellow (?) has a lot on his mind.
Damn.

This petition was brought to my attention by its creator: Lincoln Restler, Democratic State Committeeman for Brooklyn’s 50th Assembly District and all-around great guy. If you agree with me that this is one change the MTA has made that is worth keeping, please take a moment to sign this petition. Thanks!

Charles le Brigand (who took the above photograph) writes:
Freddy sells pretty much everything – from women shoes, old vinyles and best-sellers to children toys and furnitures. He occupies a small piece of land on a corner of Nostrand Ave. in Bed Stuy, where he set up a “pop-up store” three years ago. As a good business man, when I asked him if I could take his portrait, he replied “I ain’t doing nothing for free”.
– “let’s do something” I said – “I will pay you if you are not satisfied with the final product”.
– “right, that’s some real good customer service here, we have a deal”.
