Urban Fur: Stray Cat Strut

While today is most certainly a bit brisk, that did not deter some of North ‘Point’s feral felines from catching a little sunshine! Closing on a related note (and although I have posted this already) the foursome lounging at left are in need of someone to help with their care! Tori, their “person”, writes:

Needed one or two colony caretakers for a feral cat colony of seven cats for morning feedings near West Street. Saturday morning,  and one or two other mornings, to be fed at 830- 9 A.M. Caretaker provides food. All the cats are neutered/spayed and are delightful. Colony has several caretakers. Rewarding work. A brief training is available the first time; vbondart@hotmail.com

WEDNESDAY: Hayseed’s Big City Farm Supply Grand Opening!

This item was brought to attention by Trish, one of the fabulous ladies behind Design.Plot (AKA: the garden slated to grace 216 India Street). This Wednesday, April 4th, at 7:00 p.m. they— along with Brooklyn Grange and Brooklyn Homesteader— will be having a grand opening party for Hayseed’s Big City Farm Supply, an “urban farming” pop-up shop gracing the Garden Spot this April, May and June! You can learn more about this endeavor at Hayseed’s web site. Check it out!

This hilarious— and yet mildly horrifying— offer can be found at 145 Green Street. Any takers out there?

Methinks this person (who calls this club on Grand Street his/her own) might be serious!

An unintended consequence of Nassau Avenue reconstruction as spotted this weekend: an ad hoc skate park! I’m glad to see the powers that be have seen fit to install pylons. They were needed— badly! As for the wisdom of skating on this stretch, well, that’s still open to question…
