A fellow named Dave writes about the above-depicted fellow:
Miss Heather –
My neighbors found this little guy in front of the 7-11 on Manhattan Ave late Saturday night alone and crying. Very friendly.
I recently emailed you about another cat entirely (turned out to be my neighbor’s cat who had escaped onto the fire escape). I did get some responses as a result of your post however, and have reached out to them to see if they might be interested in fostering. So far no luck. In any case, hoping to reunite a family or find a temporary home. If i didn’t already have two of my own fellas I would happily take this guy on myself.
Much thanks,
Dave
as an aside – I was walking home along Manhattan Ave on Saturday night, and popped into the deli on the corner of Manhattan and Nassau. As I was inside, a bus screeched to a halt outside. The driver jumped out of the bus, ran into the deli and loudly asked the purveyor – “Hey, you got Mentos?”
If anyone knows to whom this fellow belongs— or would like to provide this fellow the forever home he richly deserves— please contact Dave via email at dmblenk (at) gmail (dot) com
Otherwise, thank you Dave for the Mentos anecdote. That made my day!
