It is no mystery that I harbor a fascination with public pay phones. There are a number of reasons for this, among them:
- The advent and greater affordability of cell phones have rendered them obsolete…
- at least in terms of how they are intended to be used: as a means of communication.
- Thus, they are quite often repurposed for other uses. I need not go into them. We know. This phenomenon (in my humble opinion, anyway) is a sterling testament to human imagination and resourcefulness.
As you have seen, gentle readers, there is communication taking place here. The medium is a yellow paint pen, not a receiver. In all my years of pay phone fetishism I have to say this is one of the most— if not the most— sage pieces of advice I have ever had the pleasure of reading. It made made my day. In fact, I like it so much I may very well make postcards of it. Thank you anonymous vandal!
