Retail Space Coming To Oak Street
As I was walking home from checking out the scene at Calyer and Franklin Street I spied this brand-spanking new conversion on Oak Street. Suspecting that this is a residential to commercial conversion I looked it up when I got home: it is. Although Franklin is certainly thriving nowadays this storefront does feel a little off the beaten path. Needless to say I am very, very interested to see what happens with this space and have to commend the owner for doing a professional job. The latter is a bit of a rarity here in the Garden Spot.

What happened to your posts about actual dog shit? I can understand branching out a bit, but the poo posts are completely gone, and I miss them.
you know, it looked awfully commercial to me, but people do weird things with their spaces in greenpoint.
it better not be a bar.
franklin st. was once quite a commercial corridor. it would be nice to get some of that back.
I live on Oak, it’s a nice street cause it’s not connected to Manhattan Ave and one way going out to Franklin instead of in, therefore a bit off the beaten path – it’s quiet and kids play in the street. I’ve wondered what they were going to do with that space for a while.
