Spotted At 1073 Manhattan Avenue: The Lobster Joint

A very excited chap named Charles writes:

Just spoke to a nice gentleman from the (awesome looking!) lobster place in the former lamb and jaffy space – he said they’re opening on the 25th with “lobster rolls, burgers, liquor” and it will be called “The Lobster Joint”. STOKED

Naturally I had to see this for myself. So today I swung by to see what gives.

They’ve done a really nice job with the exterior.

The interior looks rather inviting as well. After making it known I was a vegetarian (as as such doe not share Charle’s excitement about consuming crustaceans) the kindly proprietor (who is apparently a New York Shitty reader!) assured me there would be a “veggie melt” on the menu (which is not yet published) along with lighter fare such as salads. I may very well might to have to give this a shot come May 25th!

  2. I like the New England-y vibe of it. Although I’m a vegetarian as well, I grew up going yearly to the places my parents were born (Maine & Rhode Island) and have fond memories of the places we’d go for food at the beach. And the family always loved lobstah! (not me though, clearly!)
