whatever happened to this place? they were always packed for weekend brunches and the food was pretty decent. hope they at least do something with the space, it’s a nice location and always good to have a packed enids alternative (matchless doesnt count)

I went in when I moved here in 98. The lovely old couple who owned the place were making eggcreams, chilidogs and half cans of Campbell’s soup. It was like a time machine.
You’re on the wrong side of the tracks — as I like to call Greenpoint to the east of McGuinness (where I grew up). Miss Heather’s photo is of the Park Luncheonette on Lorimer and Driggs, which is featured in the film The Departed and closed in 2009. The photo you linked to is of the Sunview Luncheonette on Nassau and Russell, affectionately nicknamed Bea’s after the purveyor, which closed in 2007.
