I have it on reliable intelligence that the owners of Jack O’Neills (wishing to go back to Ireland) have placed the business up for sale. In fact, I was told it has been on the market for some time. I have no idea what they are asking in the way of a price for this beautifully appointed business but I suspect it might be a tough sell given there are currently six bars on Franklin Street with another two in the works. That makes eight drinking establishments on this street. Nine if you include the Greenpoint Coffeehouse. Yikes!

  2. oh crap. i wasn’t a fan of their sangria but they had good beers, nice bar staff and it was one of the more spacious bars/places to do wi-fi at.

  4. Probably the least interesting bar around Greenpoint/Franklin (the bar capital of Greenpoint), but this place has a nice back yard that is relatively empty during peak weekend hours (like when you can’t find a table at Pencil)

Best kept secret in the bar capital of Greenpoint: empty yard at bar nobody goes to.

While we’re on the subject, the sign they put up at Lost and Found is a bit of a disappointment.
