I called the guy again telling him my address and asked what happened it was over an hour ago (in broken spanglish). Unfortunately I didn’t babelfish that and he quotes me the price for an hour. I am against term limits, but as the people voted for them twice, I abide by the people’s vote. Now I have a situation where I, who has always been against term limits, feel I have to be against them, due entirely to the way this all went down.
The best we have right now is to not vote for Bloomberg next year. As he so smugly stated, just because he can run for a third term doesn’t mean he’ll be handed it by the people. And yet, the crop of opponents running against Bloomberg may be the deciding factor in the whole election. I’m torn, confused, conflicted, and certainly NOT voting for my council member when she runs for re-election.
Let me try that again with less sleep in my eyes…
I have always been against term limits, but now I have to be for them.
I should probably not type while tired and angry, either.
