Greenpoint Photos du Jour: Gearing Up For St. Paddy’s Day

March may not be upon us just yet, but the lovely (and incredibly dedicated) lady at 57 Franklin Street has already seen fit to prepare for St. Paddy’s Day. Following this will undoubtedly come my very favorite holiday display of all: Easter! To get a taste as to what multicolored goodness awaits us in April click here!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Slut Day

My buddy Jeremy and I came across this missive on Grattan Street while on a walk this lovely afternoon. Naturally a discussion as to when Slut Day is comes to pass (we concluded that every day was— or should be— Slut Day). However, after a quick consultation of the Urban Dictionary (the go-to source for such things) upon arriving home I learned Slut Day (sans the “s”) is March 6th. As for how one observes this very special day, well, I’ll let learn for yourself!
