Yes gentle readers, it would appear the place formerly known as the Sweater Factory Lofts is not only continuing its brave endeavor to press a transient hotel into service as residential space, but now it has a new address, new name and these will set you back an additional $700.00 plus a month! The newly christened Factory Lofts listing on Street Easy (as seen above) can be perused by clicking here. Please do take a moment to give this a read. Follows is a sample of the ad copy which awaits your delectation:

These words struck me as being eerily familiar. After a little research I discovered why:
It is the same exact ad copy used to pitch the Sweater Factory Lofts in 2009! And of course we all know what came of “old world ambiance meets new improvements” that time around…

Julian Cole, the artist responsible for the really neat— but regrettably short-lived— Brooklyn Christmas Tree writes yesterday, February 13th:
Hey Heather,
I hope you are doing well!
I just thought I would give you the heads up on my next project, I am putting up another little art piece tomorrow on the Williamsburg Bridge. I am creating a sign ‘Brooklyn (Heart Sign) U’ the heart sign will have 21 plastic roses in the middle. On each of the roses I am going to have a little note like the one below will say ‘I love when you drunken call me at 3AM, keep being awesome Love Brooklyn’ and I am going to tell people to take the roses. I am going to do it about 9AM, I will make sure to take some photos and send them to you.
Without further ado here they are!
I suspect I speak for quite a few people when I thank Julian for doing this! This has made my— and undoubtedly many others (like the above couple’s)— day!
