From The New York Shitty Inbox: DOA at North 4th Street?
An anonymous tipster writes in an email entitled “Kent Ave & North 4 St FDNY Harbor requesting ESU for a DOA body found in the water”:

I have contacted the head of the 94th Precinct, Deputy Inspector Hurson, in the hope he can verify this and perhaps tender a few details. In the meantime, if anyone has more information please shoot me an email at missheather (at) thatgreenpointblog (dot) com. Your identity will remain anonymous if your so desire. Thanks— and YIKES!
UPDATE, 10:53 a.m.: I have received confirmation from D.I.Hurson. He writes:
You have great intel, yes dead body was found floating in the river. Appears to be a man we are waiting for the Medical Examiner to come and make a determination of the cause of death
A New York Shitty Shout Out: Hello, Jell-O!
To preface: yours truly is neither a fan of the holiday season nor Jell-O. Both of the previous are, in my opinion, teeming with some pretty unsavory things. In the case of the former, a rapacious and very uncharitable frenzy of consumerism; in the latter a bunch of animal components I’d just as well not ponder. I would like to also add it is not the purpose of this site and its author (me) to endorse products.
The previous having been established, there are very few things which please yours truly more than seeing a fellow Greenpointer (and lover of the Shit Tits, as seen at left rendered in the aforementioned rubbery stuff) get recognition for his/her work. This morning it came to my attention that this has in fact happened. Our very own Jell-O Mold Mistress of Brooklyn, Victoria Belanger, has published a book of her creations. It appears to be a very nice one. Those of you who are fans of Jell-O— or know someone who is— can purchase this book online by clicking here.
Way to go, Victoria!

this guy (or gal)
I spied this flyer upon exiting the Crosstown Local this afternoon. Being a “cat person” naturally I have to pass it along. If anyone reading this knows to whom this lad (or lass) belongs— or wants to give him a home for the holidays— do give his good Samaritan a ring at the above-listed telephone number. Thanks!
