As I am (still) sitting out the heat I cannot resist passing along this great shot which hails from Spanish Harlem and comes courtesy of Steven R. Hazlett. Love it!

Remember Thelma and Louise (as seen at left)? Well, they have a home now! Laura (who it should be noted took in a rain-soaked little lady we named McGuinness— after the boulevard she sought refuge from) writes:
Hi Heather!
I thought you’d like to know that Mike & I adopted Thelma & Louise. I saw their photo on your blog. They are adorable. When my mom was in the hospital for almost a year, my sister & I used to travel back and forth together in her car. We had some adventures in her car and started calling ourselves Thelma & Louise. Cute cats, sentimental names… you know the rest.
Here’s a clip of Thelma, Louise and McGuinness together.
Another happy ending— but there many adoptable cuties still awaiting homes in north Brooklyn.
Here are a bevy of calicos and a couple of tabbies courtesy of Lisacat.

New York Shitty Day Ender: Alas, Poor Teddy…
even if I didn’t know him well. It’s been just over a year since I documented the testament to Teddy that is the now defunct Infinity Club.
And the props just keep on coming.
What a guy.

P.S.: Inasmuch as I can ascertain this space is still for rent. Any takers out there?
New York Shitty Slide Show Du Jour: Queens Selections

As I mentioned previously today I took an afternoon sojourn in Queens. Truth be told, I was not in “in the zone”. Some days I am more photographically-inclined than others. But I did have my moments— such as the above image. It has a certain Edward Hopper quality I kind of like. What was even more interesting is what I stumbled upon— quite literally— immediately after taking said photo.
A motel fit for a queen— albeit one on a tight schedule. I told the Mister this is where I want to spend our fourth wedding anniversary. He quipped that he was nonplussed that they don’t charge by the quarter hour. So it goes. Without further ado here are some shots from today’s sojourn around Queens. Enjoy!

Urban Fur: Monastic Cat
Making this chap’s acquaintance was one of the many delights from today’s sojourn around Queens with Carnade. I’ll be compiling a mini slide show of my finds— so stay tuned!
