This chanteuse was a most welcome and enjoyable interlude during my walk down Bedford Avenue this sunny afternoon. Judging from the number of people hovering around I’d say I was not the only one who felt this way. Borough Of Found Toys: Special Puerto Rico Day Edition

OPEN: La Taverna

Last night as the Mister and I were walking down Manhattan Avenue when we noticed a buzz of activity in front of La Taverna. Upon closer inspection we learned they were having a Grand Opening $4.00 all-you-can-eat introductory buffet. Since we had eaten Italian food for lunch we passed, but I did make it a point to peruse their menu. Not only was it rather extensive (and vegetarian friendly) but the prices were incredibly reasonable (for example: the Rigatoni Arrabiata was a cool $6.75). Methinks I will wait a couple of weeks (so they can iron out the kinks) and give them a whirl. You can check out their menu by clicking here, here, here, and here.
