MISSING: A Very Special Cat
I encountered this flier on Wythe Avenue and North 7 Street today during my ramblings in Williamsburg. No name for this lovely tuxedo lady was provided but given she sports a couple extra toes and “crooked tail” that should make her easily identifiable. If any of my Northside friends have seen this stunning lass or know of her whereabouts please contact her person, Margarita, at the above telephone number.
Thanks!

Happy Primary Day From New York Shitty!

Yes folks, today is the big day. I suspect I speak for many when I write that —regardless of who wins what has turned out to be one of the sleaziest races for a city council seat in recent history— I’ll be delighted to simply to have the barrage of mailers and automated phones cease and online excrescences such as this* to lose their raison d’etre and vanish in a puff of irrelevance. To close on a related note, Atlantic Yards Report has written a splendid post as to why they endorse Jo Anne Simon. I strongly recommend that any and all who will hitting the primaries today to vote for the 33rd district’s next Democratic party candidate read it.
Happy voting!

*Until recently these clowns were spamming the unholy bejeezus out of the CB1 Yahoo group. Here’s an example of one of their more insane tomes. Goodbye and good riddance.
Snapshots From East Williamsburg

When the weather is amenable I like to stroll around the more industrialized parts of Williamsburg. I find the heterogeneous character of this area fascinating. You have houses that are very, very old nestled among much newer neighbors. Warehouses mostly. I find something strangely beautiful about this. Follows are a few selections from my latest jaunt. Enjoy!

TODAY: Adoptable Cuties At Muddy Paws

The Bountys are a quintet of winsome tabbies that were rescued with the help of crew members from the Jennifer Aniston/Gerard Butler vehicle being filmed in our ‘hood.
Three have been adopted. Two await good homes— maybe yours? First up: Bounty
Why this Greenpoint girlie hasn’t been adopted is beyond me. Bounty is adorable and packs a pint-sized punch!
Milo is more pensive— as you can see in the above photograph by Lisacat.
These two Greenpoint cuties (and a few of their feline friends) will be available for adoption today at Muddy Paws. Check it out!
