Overheard In Williamsburg: Glass Houses
Ordinarily I would hand something like this off to my friends at Overheard In New York but this one is too damned good NOT to post here. Sorry folks!
I was walking down Roebling Street at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon when a group of 15-something young men rounded the corner and proceeded to walk in front of me. I was trying not to pay attention to what they were talking about but after I overheard the following corker I was hooked:
…(she) said don’t throw rocks if you live in a glass house. I don’t live in a glass house; I live in the projects. That’s what I told the teacher!
God I love teenagers.

In the course of researching this work, I discovered that machines like the one I’m describing already exist. They are known as “Reverse Vending Machines†and I think that they are an absolutely outstanding idea!

Upside down or otherwise I can personally attest that there is a public urination problem with this site. It makes me wonder what will happen when this site reaches fruition as a seven story hotel/ad hoc pissoir.
