It’s cute how “family” sticks together. Please take a moment and point and click your way to Queens Crap for the scoop. Otherwise if you, fellow Greenpointers, are wondering why this is our problem. Well, the following might clarify matters a bit.
You can and should read this in its entirety here. In any case despite being caught operating an illegal waste trade facility handling construction material and six figures worth of tax liens the Department of Buildings has seen fit to issue Mr. Argento’s curiously named contracting company, Broadway Stages, permits. Great Moments in Advertising Placement: Astoria Edition
My not-so-inner nerd/freak was jumping for joy upon making this discovery. So much so I had to point out my find to the Mister:
What we are seeing here are two ways one can get curly. You can use the product advertised on that billboard or you can simply have sex in Athena’s temple.*
*Special thanks/props go out to a fellow (owner?) at the Greenpoint Toy Center for making me aware of this. NOTE: he did so because I was purchasing a Medusa figurine which now stands watch atop my monitor. Thanks!

Consumer Product Du Jour
Yesterday the Mister and myself sojourned down Steinway Street. We needed a change of pace. It was at a rather amazing restaurant/deli, Beirut Restaurant, that I happened upon this product. Fits of laughter followed. I quickly advised the Mister I had a new nickname for him. I think I need not go any further other than to say he did not find this nearly as entertaining as I did. In any case, do check out Beirut Restaurant out!
Spotted On 31st Street: Binti

This is eerily reminiscent of a flyer I spied on Manhattan Avenue not terribly long ago. As to whether this is a new trend (burglarizing apartments and puppies) is anyone’s guess— either way it is not cool. If anyone has seen Binti or knows of her whereabouts please contact her people at the above-listed telephone number. Thanks!
