From The New York Shitty Photo Pool, Part II: Schadenfreude
Filed under: 11211, Carbecque, Criminal Activity, Williamsburg, Williamsburg Brooklyn
This image of last weekend’s carbecque comes courtesy of Alex Gaidouk. While I am on the subject, I have noticed that a great many people purport that this particular automobile has a proclivity for spontaneously combusting— and it runs upwards $350,000 a pop. What kind of person would outlay that kind of money for such a item? I’d really like to know.

NEXT WEEK: Dan Witz Book Signing & Party
Filed under: 11211, 11222, Greenpoint, Greenpoint Brooklyn, Greenpoint Magic, Street Art, Williamsburg, Williamsburg Brooklyn
Here’s the deal: as a general rule I do not post events until the week of said event. In this case I am making an exception. Why, you ask? Because I am damned excited, that’s why! Next Wednesday, June 30th, from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. Spoonbill and Sugartown Books will be hosting a book signing party for our very own Dan Witz (whose handiwork can be seen at left). Refreshments are promised as is the opportunity to purchase a copy of his new book, In Plain View: 30 Years of Art Work Illegal or Otherwise; and have it signed by the man himself.
Check it out!

LAST GASP: The Codfather
This cleverly named vessel, The Codfather, was caught by Miss Mousey Brown at Meeker Avenue at Frost Street in the heart of Italian Williamsburg. Great find!

Greenburg Photo Du Jour: Red Gate Garden
Filed under: 11211, 11222, Greenpoint, Greenpoint Brooklyn, Greenpoint Magic, Williamsburg, Williamsburg Brooklyn
A pair of mockingbirds have decided to call Red Gate Garden (which is still waiting to have its Green Thumb paperwork renewed) their home. What’s more, I’m pleased to report they’ve started a family!
