(and I reply!)
Today, while feeling hardly at 100% (think more like 70%), I not only took a walk (and in so doing probably spread my 11222 pestilence throughout Williamsburg) but am endeavoring to catch up blog-wise. I posted it— and am pleased to announce that I heard from a very nice Public Relations representative from Vans named Chris.
While very pleased with Chris’s very pro-active approach to any quality of life issues which may have arisen as a result of Vans’s opening party, I am more concerned about my friends and neighbors who live closer to said business. Williamsburg Halloween Watch: Presenting The Hipster Pumpkin
When I spied this on North 8 Street this afternoon I couldn’t help but chuckle. If what I have observed on Bedford Avenue is any indication, the glasses are spot-on— but the keffiyeh? That’s so 2009. In any case if the Great Pumpkin (a la Peanuts) is a giver of toys what— may I ask— does the hipster pumpkin dispense? That, dear readers, I will leave to your imagination (and comments)!
