Some of you might recall this weekend I noted that our very own Sunshine Landromat promised a “pinball experience” was forthcoming. Well, today my curiosity finally got the better of me. Guess what?
They delivered!

From The New York Shitty Inbox: Pinball?
Robert writes (in an email entitled “Pinball Wizardy”):
There is a makeshift pinball arcade set up in the car impound lot on Franklin btwn Eagle and Dupont. You must check this out.
I’ll be upfront: I found this very difficult to believe. So I headed to the location of the purported pinball parlor without delay.
It’s for real.
I spoke to the owner of this establishment about his new side business. He told me he brought the machines in for the enjoyment of “the guys” because “you only live once”. I was also assured kids of all ages are more than welcome to come by and play. TIP: the “Grand Slam” machine will only set you back 25 cents a game!
Only in Greenpoint, folks.

As a resident of north Brooklyn, the home of such ground-breaking ventures in capitalism as an auto shop and a laundromat sporting pinball parlors and a table tennis/art gallery which serves beer, I found this latest rather inventive business model par for the course. Need to buy your Aunt Tillie some knick-knacks and get your tires rotated this holiday season, gentle readers? Look no further: ZP is your place! Tell ’em Miss Heather sent you…

Promised On Manhattan Avenue: An Experience
Things have been pretty quiet at the Sunshine Laundromat of late. Now I know why: they have a very special surprise in store for us! For those of you who are wondering, pinball parlors residing in seemingly unrelated businesses is not all uncommon in the Garden Spot. Far Better Auto Repair blazed the way!

Jay (who sent me the latter two photos) notes:
Spotted on Franklin St inside the arcade at the auto repo lot. Where else? Only in Greenpoint!
What yours truly wants to know is if the ensuing demonstration/revolution will be on Twitter.
*Props go out to a lady named Peggy for this. Good one!
New York Shitty Mini Slide Show du Jour: Now With Weekend Hours!
Although I broke the good news about Far Better Towing’s pinball parlor almost two years ago, this morning I noted a number of new amenities (among other things) which I believe merit mention. Feeling deliciously lazy I am opting to sharing them via slide show versus writing about them. Enjoy!
Am I the only person who wants to check this place out on a Saturday night?

It would appear that Greenpoint’s first (and only) auto-shop-cum-pinball-parlor has added a pool table— and a candy machine is in the works!
