Miss Heather’s First Piece of Hate Mail!
“Bert Schuck” (if that his/her real name) writes:
Fuck you!
Fuck you!
Fuck you!
You just don’t fucking get it. Even shit PR just helps push all the rents in Greenpoint higher.
Ever here the phrase “don’t shit where you eat”? Don’t PR Greenpoint and then complain about the rents going up.
What art school did you go to anyway?
A blog about dog shit is the best idea you could come up with?Go back to whatever lame ass suburb you were spawned in.
Trendy bitch.
Do I detect a little envy? This dude needs to learn to lighten the fuck up— and not be so reliant on Microsoft’s spell checking function. I have one word for this guy: dictionary. Look it up…
Hugs,
Miss Heather
P.S.: Thanks “Bert”. You have the honor of being featured on this, my 200th, post. Mazel Tov!

If you think Bert’s bad, wait ’til you meet Ernie.
No shit. Mess with HIS rubber ducky and his homeboys Snuff-Dawg and Oscar will beat your ass.
So, I don’t get this guy’s complaint. Is he upset with the press you’re giving to Greenpoint because it’s raising the rents? Is he upset with the pictures of shit because they raise the rents? Does he understand what PR means? After seeing your pictures, I don’t know that I’d want to live in Greenpoint, necessarily, until they took care of the shit problem anyway.
Yeah, if you try to use ‘logic’ to parse through that email it falls short. The way I see it is this: we are dealing with a person who has a LOT of anger. Sending an illucid nastygram to me was an act of displacement.
He doesn’t get that it’s over. OVER. The property has or is being sold. Waterfront condos are going up. If the CANCEROUS OIL SPILL at Newton Creek ( http://www.truthout.org/issues_06/022307EA.shtml ) isn’t hindering development, then how can this site do any harm? Beyond McCarren Park, I can’t walk more than 2 blocks in any direction without coming upon a construction site. The children of wealthy boomers represent an enormous market, and greedy developers/ landlords will feed upon their naivete, their sense of entitlement, and their desire to live someplace that carries the cache of danger (without having to feel like they are ever in danger).
I think he’s just being postmodern. Tell him I’m looking for a roommate here in the Bronx. Far more zeitgeist than Greenpoint. And much better dog poo.
Tell me what you're thinking...
